We are seekingan Engineering Manager to join the Data Products Engineering leadership team, responsible for architecting, building, testing, and maintaining the organization’s Chief Data Office data products solutions.The successful applicant will be responsible for:•Building up and managing the output of two teams of Data Engineers working on building out data pipelines and extensive tooling to manage, operate and govern the firm’s core enterprise data•Practicing and enforcing disciplined software engineering e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, pragmatic code•Partnering with business, technology and architecture to design, prioritize and build the governance, data quality and data operations capabilities for the organization’s strategic data platform•Monitoring the overall performance and stability of data pipelines•Implementing data curation, metadata management and data quality tooling•Engaging with our business and technology partners to ensure that the platform fully meets the firm’s needs•Engage with other teams across the firm to engage in building a cohesive UI strategy for operational tooling.Required Technical experience/skills•15+ years of experience working as a software engineer in the financial services sector•Extensive professional experience building modern web front-ends (React, Redux, NodeJS, Webpack)•Strong understanding of AWS ecosystems like Lambdas, step functions and ECS services.•Experience with data stack technologies, such as Apache Iceberg & DBT.Preferred Skills•Experience on RDBMS like PostgreSQL would be a plus.
