Job Description

We are working with a very fun and creative business that are on the lookout for an Engineering Team Lead. This business focus on all things digital and print with offices in the UK and US. This role will focus on the build team and will be working on projectsthat will allow customers to create custom products and upload designs for personal stationery and business products such as business cards and merchandise.What youll be doing You will be reporting into the Engineering Director and be based in the London office. The business is offering a hybrid model of working and are looking for someone who can visit the office and be a key part of the team. When in the office, you will be workingin an amazing creative space looking after and line managing 5/6 developers. This role will have 3 main key points, Delivery and Productgathering requirements from clients, prioritising workloads, and speaking with stakeholders about upcoming products.People and teamsupporting individuals, line management and performance reviews. Techalthough this is not a hands-on role, you will be technical enough to make technical decisions and understand the technologies used in the team. Whats needed
  • Previous experience working as an Engineering/Development Manager or Team Lead
  • Previous experience working as a software developer/engineer, although the stack doesnt have to be exact, understanding of Python, Typescript, React and Java would be highly beneficial.
  • Ability to manage priorities within the team, technical and external tasks.
  • Leadership and management skills, supporting the team with career developments, 1-1s and identifying areas of improvement. ----
  • Experience with interviewing, hiring and onboarding new starters.
  • Passion for development and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies: AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
