Job Description

Together we are seeking to appoint an Employer Engagement Officer - apply today!Job Title: Employer Engagement OfficerJob Type: TemporaryLocation: East LondonIndustry: EducationPay: £16 - £18 p/h Key responsibilities In this Employer Engagement Officer role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with curriculum teams to agree and timetable Industry Placement and Work Experience models.
  • Secure suitable Industry Placements and Work Experience opportunities for students, working closely with the sales team, curriculum teams and other lead sources, including students and parents.
  • Responsible for the end to end process of initial checks, timings and relevant outcomes for students which may include, due diligence, H&S checks, candidate selection and placement.
  • Provide employers with students that are work ready including overseeing the whole recruitment process from job descriptions to making sure the candidates are assessed and prepared for interview.
  • Liaise with existing placement employers to ensure they receive adequate support and guidance.
  • Work alongside curriculum teams in the delivery and monitoring of student progress within the college and workplace settings.
  • Work with the Senior Employer Engagement Officer to develop the work placement programme to achieve best practice across all cluster areas.
  • Where appropriate, work with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Working with College specialists to ensure the appropriateness of the placement for inclusion and accessibility to ensure support is in place if required.
  • Ensure that the work placement is relevant and contributes to the completion of T-Levels/Study programme.
  • Ensure that all processes are followed consistently to ensure funding compliance and using college systems as appropriate.
  • Communicate the expectations of the work placement to parents and gain their consent where necessary, to ensure success of work placement.
  • Where appropriate, be responsible for the administrative preparation of relevant industries exams, such as CSCS card and DBS monitoring to enable students to carry out work experience in specific sectors.
  • Maintain accurate records of the services provided through college systems (ETracker & CRM), including reporting of progress and outcome.
  • Review and monitor the effective implementation of the Industry Placement programme and identify opportunities and areas of improvement.
  • Ensure regular communication with employers and the sales team to identify and provide employers with the suite of BDC programme and product offer.
  • Liaise with the employers to identify progression opportunities through Traineeships and Apprenticeships
Skills & experience
  • Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or on the update service
  • Knowledge of teaching styles recommended.
  • Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Possess a Level 3 Qualification In Business Administration, Sales or Marketing
  • Have excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Have a passion for success
  • Possess a UK driving license and have access to a car
