TheEmployee Learning team, one of the teams reporting into the SVP Efficacy & Learning, is responsible for delivering learning internally to our own employees whether that is in collaboration with our commercial teams, developing our own solutions or workingwith external parties. Our ambition is to become the worlds learning company inside as well as out.What are the responsibilities of the roleSimilar to the existing Learning Partners within the Global Talent, Learning and Performance team, this Learning Partner will partner closely with specific business units todeeply understand the upskilling needs ofthe areas of the business where theyvebeen assigned. They will workwith multiple stakeholders, including HRBusiness Partners, Talent & Performance Management, other HR Centres of Expertise (CoEs), and stakeholders in the business divisions,toimplementlearning solutions that make a measurableimpact on individual employees andPearsons ability to achieve our business strategies.In addition to this responsibility, we are looking for a Learning Partner who deeply understands how to implement a strengths-based approach to organisation transformation. We require a Learning Partner with previous experience of successful implementationof Gallup CliftonStrengths as resources to complement and accelerate Pearsons existing employee learning portfolio. The addition of this specific area of implementation expertise will complement those of our wider group of Learning Partners.More specifically, the Learning Partnerwill:

  • Be the Lead Learning Partner for Gallups CliftonStrengths across Pearson, inclusive of best practice approach to implementation and how this integrates into the employee experience and wider talent, engagement, learning and performance ecosystem.
  • Upskill and reskill other learning partners about Gallups CliftonStrengths so that they are able to lead the implementation in their assigned business units/corporate functions.
  • Build strong relationships with HR Business Partners, HR CoEs,andother key stakeholders in assigned business units/corporate functionssothatemployee upskilling initiativesintegrate seamlessly intohow strategic business goals are metand how HRCoEsdelivera combined valuepropositioninto the business.
  • Support HR Business Partners in assignedbusinessunits/corporatefunctionsto procure external L&D solutions and/or create bespoke learning solutions that meet theirspecific needscollaborating closely with Employee Learning Product Managers to understandbest practice andmaking sure all solutions deliver measurable ROI.
  • Use data and insights to diagnoseandtrack theupskilling and reskilling led learningneedsaligned to the strategyofassignedbusiness units/corporate functionsand communicate these needsregularly with the Global Employee Learning team.
  • Collaboratewith other membersof the Global Talent, Learning and Performance teamto ensurethelearning solutionsbeing developedtruly meet the priority needs of employees and business units. This willalsoinclude working closely with Talent Managementto identify employees for accelerated learning experiences and making sure these programs are implemented successfully.
  • Manage the learning solutions deployed in assigned business units/corporatefunctionsto ensure theymeet the needs of employees,aredelivered on timeto the right people,andare communicated toemployeesin a clear, engaging,and consistent manner.
  • Consistently and accurately collectdataonall learning solutionsimplemented in assigned business units/corporate functions in terms of outcomes (i.e.employee experience, engagement, achievement, and progression)andother strategic measures (i.e.businessvalue and ROI),sharingthis datawith key stakeholders. This might be global solutions provided by the Employee Learning team or it might be locally developed/procured learning solutions.
This roleis at aDlevel andreports to the Vice PresidentEmployee Learning Partner with a dotted line to the Vice President of Human Resources for the designated business functions.What will it take to do the job wellGiven the Learning Partneris a core member of the Global Talent, Learning and Performance team and a vital contributor to revenue-generating business units/corporate functions, the ability tomaintain strong relationships that deliver measurable businessvalue is essential.It is also essential that the successful candidate has a proven track record of implementing Gallup CliftonStrengths, is a trained CliftonStrengths Coach, and knows the Gallup portfolio of support services and offerings well enough to seamlessly integratekey initiatives into Pearsons employee experience.
