Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Head of Distribution EMEA, will be responsible for the oversight and execution of all strategic, financial and operational plans and policies across the regional Wholesale, Institutional and Insurance channels. This leadership position will have oversight of the EMEA and LatAm sales teams and sales support functions. The role will report directly to the EMEA CEO and will be responsible for achieving appropriate profitability and growth objectives. Further the job holder will be required to represent Columbia Threadneedle Investments legal entities, to mitigate risk and ensure all activities are compliant. They are expected to cascade and contribute to the firms blueprint in accordance with Company values and collaborate ResponsibilitiesHow youll spend your time....Sales Strategy & Distribution Management

  • Responsible for overseeing the regions distribution channels (Institutional, Wholesales, Insurance) and responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the firms policies, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Leading the EMEA senior distribution leaders and partner with corporate functions in the General Counsels office, Finance, Human Resources, Technology, Corporate Communications and Marketing to achieve business objectives
  • Close collaboration with the CIO and other Investment and Solutions leadership teams, to identify trends/ opportunities and continue to drive growth.
  • Continuous improvement in the areas of profitability, service, innovation, and efficiency, and enhance discipline around maintaining a competitive product offering.
  • Oversight and monitoring of sales plans, retention and business development targets with Global AMPF leadership team.
  • Review monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances.
  • People Leadership
  • Collaborate and partner with EHG (EMEA Heads Group) and US based stakeholders
  • Ensure teams are performance managed, reviewed and incentivised appropriately and in line with other Regional functions.
  • Motivate, inspire and engage. Enable leaders and teams to create a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure that company goals are cascaded and that every employee has meaningful, relevant goals and are measured.
  • Engage in succession planning exercise, ensuring top talent is attracted and retrained.
  • Accountable for annual employee engagement results, and implementing actions plan to ensure development areas are addressed.
  • Create an environment which nurtures diversity and inclusion.
  • Representation and Accountability
  • Ultimate responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Representing CTIs legal entities at various EMEA boards, which include:
  • Attending regular board meetings
  • Ensure legal requirement is meet
  • Review risk controls
  • Oversight and accountable for any Distribution Risk Events. Ensure that imposed risk is managed and addressed appropriately.
  • Leading Distribution Finance & Governance meetings.
  • Drive and represent the Luxembourg entity as part of the Brexit strategy
  • Oversight for the financial and headcount planning process and ensuring that the financial budgets for Distribution as agreed are met.
  • Required QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will have....
  • Experience working within a complex, matrixed corporate environment effectively, communicating with a variety of constituencies to include senior executives and Board members, regulators, and other stakeholders
  • A strong understanding and industry knowledge of the Institutional, Wholesale and Insurance Distribution business
  • Ability to develop and maintain lasting, trusted relationships with senior Distribution and Investment professionals and build and develop relationships globally.
  • Gravitas with a collaborative and participative style. Must be able to influence decisions and form partnerships.
  • Display passion and energy to support the business growth.
  • Have sensitivity, discretion and sound judgement with the ability to interact at all levels.
  • Team player with entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable driving initiatives
  • Preferred QualificationsIf you also had this, it would be great....
  • Experience in an execution/strategist role within a large, retail and institutional asset manager
  • Experience managing multiple functions and a proven track record of leading a multiple sales division
