Job Description

Electrical Site Security Engineer (SCO 91)London Region6 months£200 - £260 per dayIn short:Electrical Site Security Engineer for required to join an international energy companys London region for site security electrical engineering.Gallagher experience is preferred.We need someone experienced in:CCTVIntruder AlarmAccess ControlPerimeter DetectionThe full spec:A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced CCTV, Alarm Systems Technician (Field based) - London region.Your role will be to carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, fault repairs and installation of all assets associated with the ISS Estate. This includes CCTV, Access Control, Alarm Technology, Door and Gate Entry Systems, as well as Electrified Fence.Technical:

  • 3years experience in a similar role within industry.
  • Must possess sound electrical knowledge and have proven background through recognised apprenticeship or hold/ work towards similar qualification
  • An excellent communicator, making sure that information is understood by all individuals within and outside the team and able to tackle issues to give satisfactory resolution. He/she will have the ability to organise and plan work effectively individually and as a team.
  • To hold a range of Key competencies, (SHE) Gas, SCO91, SCO 1+2, BESC, Person and CP, training and accreditation will be provided.
  • High level of PC literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrable knowledge of IP technology
  • Strong analytical and data entry skills, attention to detail is required.
  • Complete manufacturers training courses as and when required.
  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installation of all assets associated with the ISS Estate and associated equipment.
  • Be the interface-for our 3rd line contractors when working on site
  • Accountable for all aspects of their van stock, safety equipment and training, must be flexible in working times and be presentable and professional in front of our stakeholders.
  • Accountable for fault repairs and rectification on site, document and record, in a timely fashion to the required SLAs
  • Will actively attend and participate in any company-initiated training and maintain an up to date knowledge of technical aspects of role.
  • Working within a team covering a geographical area.
  • Be able to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
  • From time to time may be required to work outside of normal geographic Business Unit area to provide sickness, holiday and workload cover.
  • Fully comply with all Quality, Environmental Health and Safety directives including but not limited to PPE, Accident Reporting, Golden Rules, Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS), and Achieving Performance Excellence (PEx)
  • Support the Rota schedule as required, to maintain a reliable and responsive out of hours service for company Assets.
  • Experience:
  • At least 3 years experience in servicing security products, and hold or work towards an academic qualification in the service and maintenance of security systems (BTEC, NVQ, C&G)
  • Be able to demonstrate competency under review or audit
  • Proactive response to all situations; ability to work alone and think on your feet.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Be well organised, motivated, resourceful and able to demonstrate a passion for Performance Excellence with the ability to work accurately within tight deadlines and on their own initiative.
  • Have the ability to build strong working relationships within and outside the immediate team.
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers and stakeholders to achieve a common goal.
  • A confident and professional manner is essential, as is the ability to influence others whilst managing conflicting priorities.
