Electrical Installation Trainer AssessorContinually striving for excellence and a strong Grade 2 College, Wigan & Leigh College is well underway on its journey to become Outstanding. As a growing college we are in a strong position to continue to invest in our campuses with the development of state of the art facilities.The College has created a community that encourages all students to enhance their learning through wider opportunities and support services; to maximise their achievements and secure progression onto further study, apprenticeships and employment.We are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Installation Trainer/Assessor to our highly motivated and creative team working with a number of Blue Chip organisations within the local area.An Electrical Installation Trainer/Assessor is required to carry out skills coaching in the workplace, conduct workplace assessments, reviews and set action plans for apprentices, including SMART Targets and deliver on professional qualifications at Levels 3 including embedding of Functional Skills (English and Maths as required). The role will also include IQA duties within an existing team and developing the Colleges offer in conjunction with employer partners and awarding bodies.Suitable candidates will hold a recognised assessment qualification (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent), teaching qualification is desirable) and with suitable sector specific qualifications including a work based NVQ at L3. Ideally the successful candidate will be confident in all aspects of workplace assessment with relation to the Electrical installation sector.
