Job Description

Our client are an established Electrical & Security services contractor, based in East London and have been providing Electrical & Security services for a wide range of Clinets, for 50 years, having grown from a small family run company to an establishedhighly respected SME.Our client Base ranges from blue chip companies such as a Premier league football club, Government institutions such as Education facilities, ranging from Universities, Schools, to adventure playgrounds, NHS Hospitals and Local authorities across London,as well as working with numerous commercial and private businesses.We currently hold term contracts for both Electrical & Security services and due to the rapid growth of our business, we are now looking for a new team member to join our Pre-Construction Team to help us maintain our current client base and continue ourgrowth plan within our target markets.This key member must have extensive experience demonstrated in the Electrical Industry sector including the interpretation and implementation of electrical designs, quantifying of materials, customer engagement and project management. Most of our currentworks fall within the North and East of London, Essex and the southeast of England areas.The role will be to work alongside our close-knit experienced team of existing estimators, Electrical & CCTV project managers and H&S Manager to meet our current client needs, while leading new tender submittals for new work streams for the company.Key Skills Production of detailed electrical/security tender bids in conjunction with tender documentation and client requirements. Experience in value engineering projects to provide cost savings to the client and offer a competitive advantage. Experienced in working within multi-industry sectors (domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors) Extensive experience of problem solving Accurately quantifying material, plant, and labour requirements Ability to negotiate the optimum tender price from suppliers, wholesalers, and subcontractors Ability to determine the necessity of site visits to understand buildability and risk.Role

  • Experience working on tender bids from PPQ to full returns, ranging from £20,000 - £3,000,000.
  • Working at our main office in Leyton or remotely as required.
  • Working on term contract, full specified projects and Design & Build Tenders returns. Making sure deadlines are met.
  • Understanding contract terms and conditions.
  • Representing & carrying out one to one meeting with the clients.
  • Preparing of Tender/Estimate including Downloading/Printing Documents/Specification/Drawings
  • Take offs from Drawings Interpretation of specification/Drawings to project needs
  • Dealing with Wholesalers/Subcontractors for quotations, and making sure they meet the requirements of the project
  • Track outcomes of submitted tenders and review benchmark requirements
  • Carrying out site quotations where required for existing clients working with our project management team
  • Project/contract handover to project team
  • will work to help us deliver our long-term Commercial goals as we grow
  • Company team meetings to review company needs and goals
Qualifications/Knowledge:
  • Electrical City & Guilds / NVQ
  • 18th Edition (preferable)
  • Qualification of Electrical Engineering HNC preferred but not essential
  • In depth knowledge BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations
  • A sound understanding of Construction Design Management (CDM)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong Negotiator skill set
  • IT Skills: Microsoft Office (to include Advanced Excel)
  • CCTV and Security industry experience/knowledge would also be preferred but not essential as training can be given.
