Job Description

Use Tools, Dont Be One!Were on the hunt for like-minded Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Technicians who share our values and will be responsible for the delivery of preventative maintenance of electrical, controls and instrumentation on a range of client sites within the Water Business Unit.Z-Tech Control Systems is a fast-paced growing company with headquarters at Swavesey near Cambridge, and a busy East London office. We have a highly skilled mobile workforce delivering Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Services to our customers in the Water, Power and Rail industries.Your Day to DayYoull be required to maintain, repair, modify, configure, commission, calibrate and install all plant instrumentation, control and monitoring equipment, shutdown systems, alarms and telemetry on our customer sites within the Kent/Hampshire/Crawley region as well as:

  • Install, commission, verify or calibrate, fault find & service Flow, Level, Temperature & Pressure instruments from multiple vendors
  • Install, commission, fault find and service D.O.L, Star Delta, Soft Start & Inverter Drives from multiple vendors
  • Install, commission, fault find and service analysers including ammonia, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, fluoride, pH, phosphate, redox, turbidity and UV nitrate from multiple vendors
  • Install containment and S.W.A. CY, SY, Power and Data cabling in accordance with relevant standards and manufacturers’ specifications
  • Fault find and make modifications to existing PLC code in accordance with IEC 61131
  • Fault find and make modifications to existing Fieldbus installations in accordance with IEC 61158
  • Fault find and make modifications to existing HMI code in accordance with Client Specifications
  • Read and work from P&ID, circuit/ loop diagrams, schematics and process drawings.
  • Telemetry upgrade and install
    • Requirements
  • 18th Edition
  • Industrial industry experience due to the nature of the work
  • Instrumentation experience is highly desirable
  • Telemetry connection experience is highly desirable
