eFX Business Analyst / Product Owner

Job Description

A large international Investment Bank based in London.DescriptioneFX Business Analyst / Product Owner role:

• You will combine market and system knowledge, product management, and business expertise in order to take a leading role in successfully delivering change initiatives.
• You will be the interfacing function between various stakeholders (Trading, Sales, Ops, IT, markets, and software vendor partners) to understand the challenges and identify how technology and process can be used to solve them.
• As a Product Owner, you will represent the voice of the business to your Squad. You own and share the vision for the Squad, setting priorities and delivering on the strategic roadmap.

Your responsibilities:

• Support efficient change by providing impactful analysis on cross domain, end-to-end, complex environments.
• As part of the Squad, you maximise business value by providing clear and developer-ready content for user stories (what is needed, for whom and why) in the Squad backlog in SNOW and facilitate alignment of the delivery teams (how) with the businesses/usergroups to ensure a strong focus on timely & good quality delivery.
• Translate and explain the "What" so that the IT engineers can determine the appropriate "How"
• Structure, simplify and solve issues on processes and systems. You participate to / lead end to end refinement and solution design sessions.
• Provide process design and visualisation.
• Work independently and ensures that implications of decisions are thought through and get addressed.
• Be able to have a good end-to-end vision and manage complexity
• Keep track of and analyse market and competition developments
• Lead, guide and inspire others in specific areas and manages the preparations and commitments regarding deliverables.
• Create an environment of open dialogue that encourages expertise development through collaboration and idea-sharing, in which colleagues take responsibility, help each other to be successful and remain a step ahead.
• Establish and maintains strong (sustainable) relationships with key stakeholders, focused on a clear understanding of their challenges and opportunities. Also identify business opportunities to drive revenue and improve product offerings.
• Train and coach involved parties, ensuring understanding, adoption and proper implementation of proposed solution(s).
• Accumulate and collects knowledge, keeps it up to date and makes it accessible for re-use. Takes initiatives for sharing knowledge.
• In case of an existing product/market, also takes care of the further development of a product by initiating new Epics, Features and Stories.

ProfileeFX Business Analyst / Product Owner Qualification/Education

• Essential: Educated to degree level

Experience/Knowledge

• strong experience in banking and finance.
• Highly skilled Analyst (both business and technical) with proven Project Management capabilities.
• Expert-level business knowledge of FX products and the eFX trading landscape: venues, regulations, connectivity and trading protocols, market-making, trading algos,
• Technical skills in multiple development languages, operating systems and database architectures.

Personal Competencies

• Ability to develop a "helicopter view" and to determine priorities based on context.
• Deep knowledge of eFX, ability to become a "go-to" person within the tribe.
• Ability to give and receive honest feedback and to act upon it.
• Full understanding of the end-to-end functional and technical workflows within the eFX domain within Financial Services.
• Could write job descriptions and provide training.
