Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile high calibre Dynamics NAV / 365 BC Developer to join our fast growing, award winning software company.

Following recent UK and European acquisitions we have a more diverse technical estate to manage and plan to converge acquired business units onto 365BC. The main technical focus of this role will be programming using Microsoft Dynamics AL/extension V2 alongwith some C/AL components.Key responsibilities:
  • Configure, develop, test, and deploy MS Dynamics NAV/ Business Central software and components in our key functional areas, Finance, Purchasing, Sales and CRM.
  • Create new and modify existing customizations, and integrations.
  • Develop solutions in Dynamics NAV and events/extensions for Business Central.
  • Perform data conversions, debug system problems, test new functionality, and provide application support.
  • Liaise technically with business teams to capture, document and prioritise business requirements and translate into functional requirements for enhancements.
  • Support and drive process change, streamlining, automation and communication in line with Business Central/NAV best practice.
  • Help set out the technical roadmap around extended 365 BC deployment across all business units and onboard.
  • Liaise with and guide business users through UAT/Sign Off, and contribute to end-user training, including development of system documentation and training materials.
The ideal Dynamics NAV Developer will have the following qualities:
  • 5 years of experience in Dynamics NAV/BC development
  • Strong design, development, and testing skills on MS Dynamics 365 BC / NAV, C/AL, C side knowledge
  • SQL Server skills/knowledge
  • Deep knowledge of Dynamics NAV/BC core functionality, and supported business processes.
  • Issue and problem management abilities through experience of working across development and support.
  • Experience working within a multi-country, multi business unit organisation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ideally, experience implementing Business CentralBC v14 to v17
