Job Description

Thurlestone Shipping is a progressive and expanding ship broking company looking for Dry Cargo Ship Broker who is capable of offering clients of the company the best possible quality ship broking services. Broker is expected to offer the best of quality services from fixing through contact generation; completion of voyage and settlement.Requirements:

  • Preferred 3 years working experience as a Dry Cargo Shipbroker.
  • Outgoing and ability to communicate well in English.
  • Motivated and self-driven individual but must be capable of working as part of the team.
  • Have knowledge of shipping contracts and attention to details.
  • Negotiate charter party terms and conditions on behalf of Owners or Charterers.
  • Able to understand of counterparty risk, operational hazards and other considerations of different cargoes and routes.
  • To be able to draft and proof read working charter parties for all on-going fixtures and familiar with standard charter party structures.
  • IT literate
    • Essential• Candidate must possess at least Diploma certificate• At least 2 -3 Years of working experience in the related field is required for this positionDesirable
  • Knowledge of Maritime and Shipping
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Salary is to be determined according to experience and qualifications
    • Hours of employment are Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 6.00pm. Closing Date: 22nd May 2020. Required skills
