Job Description

Get Hire Ltd are recruiting Drivers with experience of the live music industry. Full time and part time positions with immediate start available.Based in Bermondsey, London SE16 our transport team deliver and collect our rental equipment to music venues throughout London and the UK. The team also check and prepare self-drive splitter vans ready for hire.Annual Salary for full time positions, start in the range of £21,000 - £26,000 depending on experience for a 40-hour week. Part time positions paid on an hourly rate, start in the range of £10 - £12 per hour. Our business operates 7 daysa week and as such some weekend and evening working will be necessary. Additional set fees are paid for late collections.Successful applicants will need to be flexible to meet the demands of the business; you will be paid for all additional hours worked.About us: Get Hire provides backline hire, tour supplies, gear moves and van hire to the live music industry. As the industry recovers with festivals and tours now back in full swing and with more planned for next year, we are in an idealposition to grow the business and further your career.Responsibilities:

  • Driving LWB vans
  • Prompt delivery and collection of equipment working to a time sensitive schedule
  • Available for late evening collections, usually 2-3 times a week.
  • The safe and secure loading and unloading of flightcased equipment
  • Checking and cleaning of self-drive splitter vans ready for hire
  • Checking and returning splitter vans back from hire
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Full UK driving licence, drivers must be 23 or over, have held their licence for 2 or more years and have no more than 6 points
  • Experience of driving LWB vans
  • Be able to change a wheel plus basic knowledge of daily vehicle maintenance
  • Some knowledge or experience of backline equipment (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent time keeping skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good customer service skills
andLive within reasonable travelling distance to facilitate the flexible nature of the business.
