Candidates should have good experience of GCSE and A Level teaching. You must be highly skilled in the role you are applying for or else willing and able to learn in post. You must show a passion for education and improving the life chances of London children. It is the aim of the drama department to deliver an education of benefit to every student, through lessons, extra-curricular clubs and varying industry related opportunities. All students are encouraged and enabled to reach their potential within the subject. All are expected to acquire a range of skills, both practical and theoretical, and a breadth of knowledge and understanding of the subject. Students are further encouraged to develop a mature approach to study and a sense of responsibility for their own learning.The department consists of three specialist drama teachers who work closely as a team, within the performing arts faculty. The state of the art faculty, boasting two studios, a dance studio and a theatre, is well provided with teaching resources. A wide range of teaching and learning strategies are used in the delivery of drama and a range of extra- curricular activities are offered.The school is located close to Stratford in the London Borough of Newham.
