Job Description

Keywords: c#, csharp, .net, dotnet, developer, programmer, engineer, SQL, data, warehousing, etl, agile, oop, solid, tdd, bdd, atdd, dvcs, git, mercurial, cicd, teamcity, artifactory, azure, docker, Kubernetes, containterisation, wpf, xaml, winforms, performance,attribution, total return, sdlc** Manchester or London based - £620 p/d (Inside IR35) **My client is a leading global Investment Management business looking to hire a highly technical .Net Developer to join the Performance & Attribution product team, responsible for undertaking a strategic initiative to provide a consolidated view of Performanceand Attribution data across multiple product streams integrating with additional applications including Tableau, Anaplan, RDM, PRIME and new portfolio manager apps.The .Net Developer will be expected to:

  • Provide technical advice to other developers and take an active role in designing new technical standards.
  • Take ownership for driving change and innovation, leading on retrospectives.
  • Access and recommend architectural patterns based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Present information to technical and non-technical individuals.
The successful .Net Developer will possess:
  • C#, .Net Framework. .Net Core expertise.
  • Proven technical knowledge with MS SQL Server, data warehousing and ETL tools and advanced SQL skills (DQL, DML, DDL etc.).
  • Strong Agile experience.
  • OOP, SOLID prinicples, TDD, BDD, ATDD fundamentals and approaches.
  • DVCS with Git or Mercurial.
  • Good working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, Artifactory).
  • Programming as part of a team and performing peer code reviews.
Beneficial skills the .Net Developer might possess:
  • Azure cloud expertise.
  • Docker/Containerisation.
  • WPF/XAML or WinForms to migrate legacy applications.
  • Performance domain experience, understanding total return, attribution and contribution results.
