Job Description

“The art of communication is the language of leadership.” James HumesAre you an experienced Finance professional, with 2-5 years’ experience of document writing Would you consider yourself an excellent communicator, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms If so, I have the perfect opportunity for you.My client is an established business in London and is currently looking for a Senior Document Writer. Responsibilities of the Senior Document Writer will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Act as a Senior Document Writer to ensure the successful delivery of a software implementation project
  • Work closely with the Business and the Project delivery team to gain a good understanding of the solution being implemented and the related business processes
  • Create, write, publish, and upkeep various types of documentation, such as standard operating procedures, flow diagrams, business policies, governance policies, training documents, and user guides
  • Implement a consistent style and format for all documentation, ensuring adherence to the agreed-upon standard
  • Explore different media options for presenting user guides and training materials
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to distribute materials to the business through the LSbp Learning Hub
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to incorporate corporate branding into documents, visual materials, diagrams, charts, and any communication with the business
  • Review and copyedit content produced by team members
  • Establish a process to ensure all documentation is kept up to date and any changes or additions are communicated to the relevant stakeholders
The successful Senior Document Writer will require the following skills and experience:
  • Experience of working in a senior role in a Finance team
  • 2-5 years of experience specifically in document writing, with a focus on creating content for technical users
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technical information and explain it simply and effectively
  • Aptitude for hands-on collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Extensive background in Business Partnering
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to simplify complex concepts. Exceptional command of the English language
  • Strong creative abilities concerning document design
  • Holding an accountancy qualification as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent is preferred
  • Experience with SAP S/4 Hana is preferred
