Job Description

Owen Reed is looking to recruit an Evening Document Production Specialist in Remote position to join a top law firm in United Kingdom.Location: London, Manchester, Exeter, BirminghamWork Schedule: Fully Remote, Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PMFlexibility: Part-time options available:

  1. 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week per person)
  2. 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM over three nights (both work on Monday and Friday with an option for their third night) (15 hours per week per person)
Overview: The Evening Document Production Specialist role is fully remote, catering to the firms Document Production Centre (DPC). It involves providing seamless, professional, and timely document production services to the firms fee earners, maintaininghouse style, and ensuring accuracy. The role emphasises client satisfaction, quality, reliability, and efficiency within a specialised team.Responsibilities:
  • Produce and edit various documents, reports, deeds, and attachments in the firms house style and systems.
  • Transcribe using digital dictation and manipulate documents effectively.
  • Interpret complex fee earner briefs and deliver documents within stipulated timelines.
  • Proofread and quality check work for accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Use data rooms for document management purposes.
  • Prioritise and complete incoming work efficiently using established systems.
  • Maintain regular communication with service users regarding work progress.
  • Ensure timely delivery of documents, prioritising tasks, and proactively communicate about deadlines.
  • Share knowledge across the team, catering to specific client needs within the DP Department.
  • Advocate for the DPCs utilisation within the firm and contribute to its success.
  • Proactively suggest and implement improvements, addressing skill concerns for continuous enhancement.
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a document production team is essential.
  • Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Proficiency in producing diverse documents across legal domains.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other core systems used by the firm.
  • Ability to reformat documents in-house style and troubleshoot problematic documents.
  • Strong client service and telephone etiquette.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Approachable, resilient, proactive, and motivated.
  • Initiative-driven with the ability to build trust and rapport.
