Do you have a background as a Java Engineer, with recent experience leading engineering teamsSalt are recruiting for a Director of Software Engineering on behalf of a digital communications platform in London - they were spun out of a major American multinational investment bank 2 years ago and in that time theyve raised $73M and grown to 176 employees- and they are just getting started!As a Director of Software Engineering, you will be joining a technology team currently 46 people strong, working across 3 separate product offerings that supply into 29 markets as their global footprint quickly expands.You will be overseeing 3 teams across the UK, Spain and Israel - 20 people in total. You will also be building a brand new team as they continue to expand.Reporting to the CTO, your role is hugely integral to the future success of the organisation - you and your team will be driving the design, building and refactoring of mission critical, highly available cloud based systems and web apps serving global customersusing Java/Spring Boot, Kotlin, SQL Server, AWS and more.They are looking for someone who has 2+ years experience of building high performance teams, ideally ones that are multi-cultural and geo-distributed - if youve got experience in either the FinTech industry or fast growth startups, that would be an advantagebut not essential.They are paying upto £120,000 for this Director of Software Engineering role plus equity, bonus, matched pension upto 6%, healthcare/life insurance + 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and many others.Their head offices are based in Central London - happy to offer flexible/remote working however.Please contact me, Reuben - rjenkins @ welovesalt.com - interviews are happening now and roles go quickly in this business!
