Job Description

Director of Data EngineeringHybrid - LondonUp to £170,000An amazing opportunity to join a leading digital consulting company based in London as a Director of Data EngineeringTHE COMPANYA great opportunity to join a global consultancy looking to revolutionize the digital landscape. The company is looking to help their clients succeed in moving from digital extension to putting digitalization at the core of their business.You will join the business as a Director of Data Engineering and focus on the large-scale digital transformation of some of the biggest clients across the globe. THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Taking ownership and leadership responsibilities for global teams of up to 50 people
  • Understanding data landscape and designing entire end-to-end systems
  • Understanding and solving client problems where necessary
  • Leading large delivery teams and building new platforms
  • Development of accelerators
  • Understanding and implementing value of AI/ML
  • Working with different analytical teams across the business
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong experience in end-to-end architecture
  • Expertise in leading design and delivery with clients
  • Significant team management experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Expertise in Scala, Spark, Java/Python
  • Experience in distributing data processing frameworks (spark)
