Our client is a leading European Corporate & Investment Bank.The FIG team has built a strong track record of high-profile transactions and with professionals in London, Europe and Asia with a focus on banks, insurers, asset managers, fintechs and other financial institutions.DescriptionDirector - FIG Advisory - Investment Banking opportunity with a European Corporate & Investment Bank in London.Our client is looking to hire a Director to act as key originator with a focus on the banking sector. The Financial Institutions Advisory team is responsible for the origination and execution of M&A and other transactions within the Financial Institutionssector, in close cooperation with other teams including Financial Institutions Coverage, DCM, and ECM.In this job you will play an active and lead role in the origination, structuring and execution of transformational transactions for leading financial institutions and related companies.Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:

  • Lead in the origination and execution of M&A and capital markets transactions;
  • Bear responsibility (internally and externally) for the origination and execution of complex transactions;
  • Have a relevant FI-client network to bring in, and maintain, relevant client contacts resulting in new deal flow;
  • Represent the Banks capabilities in the FI sector to the most senior levels externally and internally;
  • Maintain knowledge of industry and products to the highest professional levels;
  • Prepare product arrangements/financing requests of complex transactions;
  • Execute (approval, structuring and closing) transactions for FI clients;
  • Prepare documents for transaction processing (a.o. legal documents, structuring papers);
  • Transfer knowledge about the product/ sector to keep stakeholders informed of product and market developments;
  • Direct and manage deal teams. Make conditions, assign responsibilities and create synergy within the team;
  • Mentor/train and coach junior team members.
ProfileDirector - FIG Advisory - Investment Banking opportunity with a European Corporate & Investment Bank in London.The candidate:
  • Will be a Director focused on European and/or UK FIG corporate finance advisory in a bank or corporate development team
  • Will have an impressive and recent FIG M&A, corporate finance and restructuring transaction list in Europe and/or UK.
  • Will have strong market contacts and a strong desire to drive the business forward
  • Will ideally have deal team lead experience and a desire to mentor and help lead the team
