Job Description

DescriptionThe Director will have direct P&L responsibilities for products within the Equity Product line as well as other index-related products in the Financials Product portfolio (i.e., Commodity Indices and other Alternative Investment based indices) and will be responsiblefor the management and successful execution of the product line strategy based on a strong knowledge of the products or functionality. This role will create and implement strategies for product innovation, pricing, marketing across the product line or functionality. The position will have responsibility to cover the EMEA region and work with the Sales and other functions to help promote andeducate clients on CME Groups product suite. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Applies knowledge of Equity Index products, as well as the other index-related products listed above, in terms of functionality and product line when representing CME Group to external audiences (e.g. clients).
  • Works with other business units and functions (e.g. Sales, Research and Marketing, etc.), to both implement and market new and existing products.
  • Develops the strategy and business plans for a product line or for an identifiable functionality across product lines.
  • Ensures the strategy aligns with BLM and Financial Products strategy.
  • Responsible for product lines or functionalities within the business line and is accountable for their profit and loss.
Required Experience:
  • Investment or trading experience in relevant products for a minimum of 5 years, ideally with P&L revenue responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of index based derivative products, ideally with transactional risk management experience in one or more of the following areas - futures, options, ETFs, OTC Swaps, and cash trading.
  • Demonstrable experience of interacting with decision makers at client firms.
Preferred Experience:
  • Options knowledge desirable
  • Demonstrable experience of working across teams to produce high value outcomes.
  • Ability to bring industry contacts and network to CME to advance business objectives.
Education:
  • Bachelors degree. Advanced degree preferred.
