Cost reduction and need for agility is bringing this to thetop of the agendaIt is generally acknowledged that custom build digital banks by incumbents is not a good strategy and that traditional core banking replacement programmes destroy value. Covid has brought channel shift and digital capabilities front andcentre. Migration to digital banking just accelerated this shift by 3-4 years Banks are now looking to transform using business led, cloud based ecosystem solutions that can be configured, deployed and adapted quickly. PwC has developed a unique and innovativeset of assets, platforms and ecosystem partnerships to support our clients capitalising on that growth.Our Digital Transformation Directors will be central to our work in this space over the coming years. Theyll perform a dual role, providing delivery leadershipon complex technology enabled business transformation programmes, and driving consulting revenues through relationships with technology vendors, and existing and potential clients.They will have a wealth of experience gained from Industry or Consulting inwhich they have led teams through complex projects that include emerging technology and cloud components for Tier 1 financial services clients. Well practised in an agile delivery lifecycle approach, they will manage all stages of the project lifecycle, tenaciouslydriving through troubleshooting and issue resolution to keep delivery on track. They will work with our clients leadership teams, and will be responsible for scoping and delivering the programmes that will transform our clients businesses.They will haveextensive experience leading teams across the consulting sales lifecycle from RFI/RFP through to contracting, and be adept in detecting, scoping, and closing follow-on opportunities on existing programmes. They will set themselves apart with their exceptionalstakeholder management skills, building trusted relationships that enable programme delivery and drive consulting revenue through follow-on or additional opportunities. Ultimately, they will lead a portfolio of opportunities, leveraging their networks acrossFinancial Services clients and technology vendors to grow PwCs digital transformation practice. Theywill combine this with a strong commercial focus and the ability to drive significant consulting revenues through relationships with technology vendors.Furthermore, PwCs ideal Digital Transformation Director will have: Demonstrable experience as a deliverylead, with a track record of delivering complex projects that include emerging technology and cloud components for Tier 1 financial services clients;Knowledge of emerging technology and how to implement this in a large scale environment. The ability to inspireteams, being able to rapidly establish and lead high-performing, multi-disciplinary, cross geography teams drawn from across PwC, our clients staff, and third party organisations;Highly flexible interpersonal skills in relation to individual, social and businessinteraction.
