Job Description

Digital ReporterNew position works in a fast-paced newsroom, writing both news articles and features for the UKs largest B2B publication within its industry sector. They are an online with close to 1,000,000 visits per month.As the Digital Reporter you will write content for their online news site and the daily newsletter.The role is a 50/50 mix of working in the office (central London) and, remotely, working from home.Key Duties:

  • Planning, sourcing and producing news stories throughout the day for news-site publication and the daily newsletter
  • Researching stories and features that would be of interest to our audience
  • Writing both commercial content (such as whitepapers) and other copy for ongoing campaigns
  • Using SEO strategies to maximize visibility
  • Promoting content on social media
  • Over time, becoming a visible representative in the sector at industry events
Key Skills:
  • Be able to work effectively in a team of 12 writers and reporters
  • Have excellent writing, proof-reading and editing skills
  • Possess strong analytical skills, ability to collect, organize, and analyze information
  • Provide accurate reporting with good attention to detail
  • Be adaptable and able to work independently, with little supervision, to tight deadlines
  • Conduct research utilizing multiple sources
  • Possess a portfolio of published articles
  • Have good knowledge of Google Analytics and WordPress
  • Be familiar and knowledgeable with SEO
Office hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm (with 1 hour for lunch).
