Job Description

Action for Children believes every child should grow up safe and happy, they are there to step in and help when times get tough. They offer invaluable support for young people and their families, protecting the vulnerable and supporting those that need it.Action for Children give children a voice through their campaign work, and fund crucial research to help shape a better future. Running over 476 local services throughout the UK, they believe in building solid foundations and spotting problems early.The Talent Set are happy to be working with Action for Children to find their new Digital Project Manager.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage digital projects to develop and innovate across Action for Childrens website and digital platforms to support campaigning and fundraising activity. You will manage a variety of digital projects, working from discovery and initial conception throughto completion including scoping, planning, scheduling and overseeing design, development, testing and implementation.
  • Consult with stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables to ensure digital developments meet user needs and business goals to drive support for our cause
  • Project manage iterative website developments based on user and business needs, using agile project management methodology. Troubleshoot, unblock issues and manage any risks and dependencies to deliver on-time and in-budget.
  • Work with our digital platform agencies to brief in new developments, prioritise, schedule and test functionality and user-experience.
  • Work with Digital Platform Manager and consult stakeholders to discover platform opportunities, write comprehensive user stories and make data-led decisions based on user and business needs, to drive income and support for the charity.
  • Provide technical digital expertise and recommendations on platform developments to stakeholders. Communicate digital developments in an accessible and inclusive manner.
  • Support the Digital Platform Manager in planning and development of project plans and sprints that align with the platform roadmap.
  • Set digital project KPIs and work with the Digital Marketing & Analytics Manager and Digital Fundraising Officers to track, report and evaluate outcomes, reviewing, testing and optimising throughout.
To do this the right candidate will be a passionate project manager with an ability to shape and evolve great digital products. You will be confident in creating, maintaining and prioritising product backlogs to direct the work of developers, UX agenciesand freelancers.
