Job Description

Job; Digital Product Designer - London/Remote

  • NB: Working 2-3 days per week this will be an initial 6-month contract with expectation of extension(s) & possibly an offer of a full time perm role thereafter.
    • This company is a B2B Service Governance software tool that helps suppliers evidence contractual compliance, safeguard relationships and standardise coverage. They help suppliers retain and grow contracts. Their customers include global brands like Xerox and Interserve. They are a young, fun, and hardworking software company.This is a great opportunity for a digital-savvy Product Designer to have an impact on a new product at an early stage and lead the design side of things through to launch while supporting a mature product. They are looking for someone who will be happy and excited to work closely with Product in a start-up environment where requirements can change quickly. Someone with a can-do approach, who’s happy to get their hands dirty and is happy with iterative design cycles.You will support and lead the UX+UI design of two products with very different requirements as well as supporting their website as well. One product is already mature & requires mainly UI refinement and addition of new features. The other is a new product at the early prototyping stages. This will require you to participate in brainstorming sessions, capture requirements and refine the prototype.Skill set and requirements - must haves:
  • Wireframing + Prototyping experience and familiarity with tools such as: InVision, Marvel, UXPin, Balsamiq etc. Their current prototype was done in UXPin, however they are happy for their Designer to either continue with this tool or convert the prototype into a different tool.
  • UI design skills: No specific tools required here. They’re looking for someone with experience in design who can lead the visual design of screens and look & feel.
  • Responsive design: design for mobile (not app) + desktop view
  • Website design experience.
    • Skill set and requirements - nice-to-haves:
  • SaaS experience: Their product is a SaaS (software as a service) so ideally they would like someone with some SaaS experience, who worked on SaaS products in the past.
  • Their frontend technology of choice is React for both products. They don’t expect their designer to do any coding, however you will have some interaction with React developers, so past experience working with developers would be nice.
  • Website: their website is hosted on Hubspot - it would be great for them to have someone who knows Hubspot and can work on a Hubspot website.
    • Other Stuff;
  • £’s: fully DoE approx. £300/day (direct freelance contract with the client),
  • Schedule: if you meet all their requirements, including website design, then 3 days/week. If not, then you will likely start with 2 days/week and possibly increase to 3 thereafter. This will be an initial 6-month contract with expectation of extension(s) & possibly an offer of a full time perm role thereafter,
  • Location: the role can be performed remotely at the moment (with lock-down etc.) but ideally, they would want you working face to face from their offices (N1, a short walk from Hoxton, Old Street, Shoreditch tube stations) for at least 50% of the time when things return to normal’
