Job Description

Digital Learning Content Manager - Salary up to £42,000Accountable to: CCH Head of Learning and Development (Seconded to the Group CIO for initial role)Location: Altrincham plus 25% Field Based TravelResponsible for: Content Development on the E-Learning PlatformThe role of Digital Learning Content Manager is to use their experience in e-learning and LMS projects to design, develop, and deliver e-learning content for all required topics within City & County Healthcare Group. With an attention to detail, the role will be tasked with moving quickly across the organisation, collecting knowledge and ascertaining the best method to deliver and disseminate training on core knowledge requirements to the wider staff using the LMS platform.Using strong intrapersonal and communication skills, the DLCM will be responsible for engaging with key stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on clinical, administrative, and corporate topics as needed. The role will facilitate sessions to uncover knowledge and define the key points from the SME required to train staff on new and existing topics. Being self-motivated and naturally curious, the role will research new and innovative ways to deliver content on the LMS platform and will contribute to the wider L&D objectives accordingly.The role will be responsible for measuring the efficacy of the content on the platform and will generate reporting that demonstrates the adoption and usage of the content and platform as needed. The DLCM will be key to building working relationships across departments and stakeholders to bring L&D objectives to fruition and will be a people oriented role with a natural tendency towards engagement. This role will also be required to build content using standard SCORM tools as well as provide graphic design support and maintenance to course work and modules of learning.Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage modality and content for Health and Social Care, Corporate Compliance, Health and Safety and other required topics for all E-Learning platforms across the business
  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and source materials to develop engaging and dynamic online development experiences and learning paths.
  • Working alongside a existing LMS team (Design and Administrative functions) you will all work towards the same goal by creating and managing the LMS across the business.
  • Tease out detail and succinctly define the required training points from SME engagements
  • Create and establish cross functional partnerships with multiple departments and stakeholders to drive large scale L&D projects on the company’s LMS.
  • Develop and deliver e-learning best practices, content templates and technology innovations for the LMS platform and learning content.
  • Create and edit graphic, audio and video materials as needed
  • Provide contributions to overall instructional design and e-learning projects.
  • Leverage strong internal consulting skills to partner with stakeholders in developing and designing functional specific training on a wide variety of topics
  • Analyze employee feedback data and establish success metrics of e-learning programs and initiatives.
  • Measure impact and quickly iterate content or modality to address specific feedback, as needed.
  • Help deliver and deploy the LMS platform across the business as required in initial roll out of the solution

  • An excellent visual and verbal communicator.
  • Design-focused with a keen eye for detail and knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • A branding wizard, creating impactful iconography and visuals that represent the company mission and principles

  • Job Characteristics
  • 5+ years of experience in an instructional design and development role using various eLearning development/delivery modalities.
  • Professional certifications in learning design and development, adult learning or a related field.
  • Demonstrated skill in eLearning development applications and tools (Adapt, Articulate Studio/Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, Animate/After Effects, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator).
  • Experience in video and audio editing.
  • Knowledge of/experience with eLearning technical standards (SCORM, AICC, xAPI).
  • Use of graphic design applications to develop visually appealing and engaging experiences.
  • Experience in the Healthcare and or Social Care is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable at facilitating others and discovering knowledge in an informal organisation
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products; MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel.
