We have existing opportunity to work with a Law enforcement organise in London. You will go through stringent vetting process prior to starting. The position is for 6 months initially with a view to being extended. The Digital Forensic Unit (DFU) is responsible for the handling of all digital evidence seized or acquired by the organisation. This includes the collection of evidence on site, forensic processing of any items seized or received from third parties, and the processing of these items into a medium that Case Teams can access through a digital review platform. DFU Investigators are required to carry out a number of tasks on daily basis working alongside other analysts and investigators. The workload can include tasks such as Forensic imaging and acquisition, processing mobile devices, liaising with case teams, validation and testing, reporting clear and concise details of progress and findings.The post holder will also be responsible for the management of DFU Analysts or University Placements, supervising and quality assuring their work, monitoring development and identifying appropriate training.Responsibilities:Acquire, process and analyse digital evidence in accordance with DFU procedures and ACPO guidelines.Researching and developing processes to address the challenges created by the introduction of new technologies.Maintain evidence management and examiner records to ensure that the continuity and integrity of material is preserved in accordance with the organisations procedures and ACPO guidelines.Attend / lead DFU search operations to assist in the seizure and acquisition of digital material,Advise and liaise with Case teams regarding the imaging and acquisition of data.Essential Skills:Extensive experience of using forensic tools such as EnCase, Nuix and Cellebrite, XRY or similar products.Exposure to or knowledge of E Discovery platformsGood working knowledge of computer forensics, mobile forensics and eDiscoveryExtensive knowledge of computer based hardware, IT systems and terminologyExperience of working with external stakeholders, communicating effectively both in written and verbal formStrong team and communication skillsUnderstanding of evidence handling procedures and principlesIf this is the role for you, then apply today!
