Job Description

Digital Communications AssistantSalary - £29,896 Level 2Stakeholder Engagement and CorporateAffairs Team, Regulatory Standards DivisionPermanentThe Financial Reporting Council (FRC)s mission isto serve the public interest by setting high standards of corporate governance,reporting and audit and holding to account those responsible for deliveringthem. We are the UK Competent Authority for audit. We also set the UK CorporateGovernance and Stewardship Codes as well as UK standards for accounting,auditing and actuarial work, and monitor and take action to promote the qualityof corporate reporting and operate independent enforcement arrangements foraccountants and actuaries. Regulatory Standards: The FRCs RegulatoryStandards Division is responsible for public and technical policy coveringaccountancy, audit, actuarial work and corporate governance and stewardship,for which we set regulatory codes and standards and develop guidance to drivehigh quality work in the public interest. The Division also includes the FRCLab, which encourages high quality reporting through the development of best practice,and innovation more widely, and all of the FRCs stakeholder engagement andcommunications work. The Role:We are seeking a Digital Communications Assistantto join the FRCs Stakeholder Engagement and Corporate Affairs team.

  • Support the Communication and marketing team inimplementing digital communication strategies to support the FRCs objectives.This includes content development in line with FRC brand guidelines, such astext, images, podcast/audio and videos for web or social media use.
  • Confidently liaise with IT suppliers forsignificant challenges or structural changes to the website orintranet.
  • Update all forms of content on the FRC website,intranet and social media platforms.
  • Monitor and flag significant content on FRC socialmedia.
  • Regularly review and analyse website statisticsusing software programmes, such as Google Analytics and HotJar. Your insightswill be used to evaluate success and create further improvements to ouroffering.
  • ThePerson:Current experience in digital communications andwith professional social media use.
  • Good organisational and time managementskills.
  • Experience with Kentico or similar website CMStools.
  • Experience with Google Analytics is desirable butnot essential.
  • A strong understanding of HTML and web copyediting experience is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or similargraphic design programmes is advantageous but not essential.
  • Video editing experience will also beadvantageous.
  • The applicant will be able to build relationshipswith key stakeholders in the FRC to understand their business areas and deliverthe FRCs stakeholder and communications needs through a variety of media andplatforms. The applicant should be results oriented, a focusedproblem solver and have a great attention to detail. The role is based in our Central London Office. Thepost holders should be able to work flexibly to support the teams activitiesand also provide cover within the FRC as necessary. Some travel may berequired. Rewards andbenefits
