Job Description

Digital Application Security Engineer (Python / JS)London6 months£600 per dayDigital Cyber Security Engineer required to join a large bank in improving their DDoS protection (Akamai) for internet banking solutions. Were looking to bring knowledge away from a third party and implement an inhouse team.The top skills we need are Scripting - Python, JavaScript, Node.JS would be great. We need someone who can automate tasks.Cloud - any Azure, AWS or GCP is a big bonus.Secure Networking (F5, Imperva or similar) - being able to configure and design networks and understand how a third party technology would do this with their product.Well be specifically looking for these skills on your CV:

  • Youll have experience of working in a developer/engineer role within a vibrant change team or maybe youll just feel that your passion for technology and mix of skills are perfectly aligned to a career in Engineering.
  • Youll have knowledge of cyber security and infrastructure solutions, ideally able to demonstrate competent hands-on capability.
  • You may have an understanding of agile methodologies & tooling e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence.
  • You may have programming experience with Python and/or Javascript for NodeJS.
  • You may have configuration experience of Cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Automation
  • You may have an understanding of Networking (routing/switching, IP, network protocols, firewalls, WAF)
  • You may have an understanding of encryption and associated technologies e.g. X.509 PKI, TLS
  • You may have knowledge of virtualisation and containerisation (inc. Docker and Kubernetes)
  • You may experience of DDoS solutions such as those provided by Akamai, Cloudflare or Neustar.
