Job Description

About the team:Be a part of not only the internationally renowned South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, but also our friendly, hardworking, comprehensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) team in the London borough of Lewisham. With that in mind we welcome applicants who have lived experience as well as those from a BME backgroundWe would love to share the experience with you, of offering this evidence-based intervention to clients diagnosed with Borderline/Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (BPD/EUPD), who are under the care of the Lewisham Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) and Primary Care Mental Health Teams (PCMHTs).As a part of the DBT Team, you will benefit from working alongside clinicians who have trained under the direct auspice of DBTs original developer.About the role:We are seeking a candidate who is either already DBT-trained or a candidate with a background/training in CBT who wishes to develop expertise in this 3rd wave Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. This role is also suitable for newly qualified clinical/counselling psychologists.You will be someone who has drive, interest and enthusiasm for delivering DBT, and enjoys working with clients who experience emotional dysregulation. You will also have a genuine interest in contributing to and shaping our evolving DBT Service.About the location:The Lewisham DBT Service is based at Ladywell House, 330 Lewisham High Street, Lewisham, London, SE13 6JZ.Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2).
