Job Description

DevSecOps Engineer - App TechnologySalary: £50,000 - £60,000 basic salary + Benefits + Share Option SchemeLocation: National UK (HQ based in London)Are you an experienced DevSecOps engineer looking to work on exciting projects within the gaming and financial services industry Are you looking to work for a growing organisation with a start-up feel but with the security of an established brand Then this may be the ideal opportunity.We are looking to hire a DevSecOps Engineer to work alongside the company CISO and DevOps team to identify and implement security best practices are embedded into the base platform design before code is written, provide reccomendations for improvement and act as the point of contact for all security related challenges with internal platforms.Responsibilities include:

  • Analysing code and designs for potential security threats and producing reccomendations for review by the CISO.
  • Executing resolutions for such problems utilising your own knowledge and that of the wider DevOps team.
  • Introducing metrics to maintain the security posture of internal platforms as products evolve.
  • Creating document libraries, maintaining standards and security processes and documenting progress for furutre reference.
  • Implementing a visible logging / tracking process accross internal platforms to monitor and intervene amongst any undesired activity
    • Experience required:
  • Working knowledge of common scripting/programming languages (Python, Java, Ruby,PHP) and infrastructure and web services (MySQL, Kafka, Vertica, ClickHouse, nginx)
  • Undertanding of containerisation software such as Docker / Kubernetes
  • Working experience of cloud suites such as AWS/GCP
  • up to date knowledge of CyberSecurity standards and practices ( NIST framework / ISO27001 / Cloud COntrols Matrix / Cloud Security Alliance)
  • Ideally qualified within the SecOps field such as AWS certified Sec specialist / CEH / SANS GIAC Certified Incident Handler
