DevOps Engineer - Cloud Analytics

What you will be doing:

Build and automate the provisioning of infrastructure resources to support custom stacks, primarily leveraging scripting for deployment automation.
Maintain and extend CI pipelines while ensuring security, reliability, maintainability and scalability.
Guide the technology team in building, migrating, and optimizing applications following the principles of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the technology teams. Ensure all security, governance, and compliance standards are met.
Drive technical innovation and efficiency with automation in both a cloud and virtual environment.
Integrate third-party products into our clients environment, frequently with the collaboration of Systems Integration teams.
Evaluate vendor products with respect to technical implementation.
Support assigned products by responding independently to client inquiries and resolving issues of greater complexity
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less senior employees

What it would take to excel in this role:

Minimum five years experience in application design, architecture and development.
Understanding of software engineering processes and system development life cycles.
Solid scripting skills, e.g. Python, Cloud Formation, Shell, JSON.
Technical experiences and understanding of AWS services: compute, storage, analytics, networking, security and enterprise applications.
Experience building cloud serverless technologies, e.g. EMR, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, Lambda.
Experience and knowledge of one or more 3rd party products like Tableau, R, Anaconda, DataStage, Datameer, Dell Boomi, Cognos, SAS etc.
Experience with multiple database technologies.
Great communication skills, a positive attitude and a passion for software development and technology.
AWS certifications preferred.
Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Git/BitBucket/Bamboo preferred.
