Job Description

DevOps Engineer, AWS, Python, Linux Our client, an AI R&D company based in Central London are seeking a DevOps Engineer (with a focus on AWS) to join their joining their tight nit cross-functional team. In this role you will using a modern tech stack, with lots of opportunities to make a real different and develop your career where they have lots opportunities. This role offers flexibility on working arrangements and will start fully remotely due to COVID-19. Our client also have the licence to sponsor candidates, however due to the urgent need of the role you must be based in the UK Currently.As the DevOps Engineer, youwill be responsible for;

  • Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems.
  • Build, release and configuration management of production systems.
  • Pre-production Acceptance Testing to help assure the quality of our products / services.
  • System troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domains.
  • Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.
  • Evaluate new technology options and vendor products.
  • Ensuring critical system security through the use of best in class cloud security solutions.
    • The DevOps Engineer should have experience with;
  • AWS: 2+ years’ experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, Dynamo DB) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security.
  • Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.
  • Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python) and automation skills.
  • Operating Systems: Linux system administration
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools
  • Database Administration Experience
  • Version Control: Experience administrating version control systems such as SVN.
  • Networking: Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).
