DevOps Engineer, Azure, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, Security, CI/CD, GitHub,A leading player within the financial world is seeking a solid and proven DevOps Engineer to work on a greenfield site with a long-term plan around cloud adoption.The role:You will work in a multi-skilled team working side-by-side with Developers, Product Managers, and QAEngineers to ensure a consistently top-class product is delivered to our customers, in a way that isscalable within our business.Design and develop solutions according to our standards, compliance levels and strategy.Collaborate across the engineering team on:.Cloud architecture.Infrastructure as Code.Shift Left of Security.Continuous Integration.Test Automation.Deployment Automation.Feedback from Production.Proactive Notifications.Co-ordinate across the engineering team to ensure smooth delivery and confident operationin production..Contribute to incident management, diagnosis, root causes analyses and remediation..Collaborate with engineering team mentoring those less experienced in operations..Proactively monitor and observe the system.Skills required:.Microsoft Azure, particular PaaS services.Infrastructure as Code; ARM, Bicep or similar.Logging, monitoring, and observability tooling.Security controls across infrastructure, platforms, and applications.CI/CD, ideally GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy with security and code qualityintegrations..RDMS databases, ideally Azure SQL Server..Managing databases.Reviewing scripts.Scripting PowerShell/Bash.API management.API debugging tools such as Postman/Fiddler/VS Code.Monitoring of infrastructure, platform, and applicationsNice to have but essential:.Testing Infrastructure as Code.Distributed systems using messaging.Microservices/SOA.Non-functional requirement validation of products such as performance, security, etc.Package management, such as NuGet, for shared libraries and deployment artefacts.Container/Linux based architectures and management tools.Knowledge of SIEM or SOAR tools.Power Automate.C#.Workflow / methodologDevOps Engineer, Azure, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, Security, CI/CD, GitHub,McGregor Boyall is an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on any grounds.
