We have a current opportunity for a Dev. Ops engineer on a contract basis. The position will be remote based with travel to the Solihull office once a fortnight. The role is INSIDE IR35.Required Technical Skills* Work on DevOps strategic activities in all layers of the stack, including infrastructure, applications/code, data layer as well as continues integration and deployment.* Experience in Azure DevOps, GIT and any configuration management tools.* Have a good awareness of .net framework and dot core code.* Support the implementation of new and existing programs and projects, as well as enhancements to existing applications.* Experience in setting up build/release pipelines in Azure.* Experience in test automation and processes, Postman/Newman* Automation Experience of Terraform or a similar toolset.* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and ensuring consistency of approaches across all product lines..* Proficient Scripting experience in PowerShell, YAML/Json beneficial.* Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis and address issues in non-production and support production cases.* Deployment to Azure cloud solutions and on premise services* Experience with Windows OS, IIS and .Net framework versions, APIs or micro services.* Experience in Microsoft .Net Technology, SQL basic knowledge is an added advantage.* Ability to manage environments and its support, troubleshooting skills.* Help define and improve build and release pipelines to ensure efficiency and quality of produced code.* Good Knowledge of Branching and Merging concepts.* Experience in utilising the following tools - Azure DevOps, SonaType, SonarQube, Octopus Deploy, Nexus IQ Server.* Experience and interest in Application Security from a DevOps perspective.Good to Have:* Experience in setting up/migrating to Terraform and Kubernetes/Docker.* Experience in DevOps Tooling, processes and methodologies and good knowledge of DevOps concepts.* Ability to input new approaches and ideas in DevOps stream.* Production code/config reviews and packaging code for deployment, prod support.* Post production merging and environment support activities.
