Job Description

Propositions Development & Project Implementation Manager

  • Perm Role
  • London EC2Y one day per week
  • Working from home
  • Salary £65k - £75k
  • Plus Package +car allowance
To lead and oversee end to end commercial branch development from initial planning stages to completion and operation,taking responsibility for concept, cost, quality and risk of each stage of the project.Principal Accountabilities
  • Propose branch design strategies that deliver our commercial objectives and fulfil our brand values
  • Deliver costeffectiveenvironmentdesign solutionsincluding layout, construction methods, equipmentand signage
  • Use relevant competitor, customer and Postmaster insight and data, tocreate competitive advantage
  • Setting up and implementing the required systems and processes required across the Network Propositions team, to deliver commercially driven propositions
  • Build new team planning tools,performance tracking,scheduling, data anddocument storage/access
  • Delivers and manages master projectplanning and fiscal forecasting for the wider team
  • Assist with the tender review process as required, making recommendations to improve cost, quality and timings
  • Proactive project management involving multi-disciplinary internal and external teams
  • Creates space planningprinciples which maximise commercial return for both independent postmasters and strategic partnerships
  • Ownership of all Blueprint documentation and processeswhich support execution of improved Branch standards across our propositions
  • Working with the Marketing and Brand teams to improve Postmaster and customer experience through simpler design and execution of POS and Signage and improved, edited communication and better processes
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee on-boarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
  • Measurement & evaluation of KPIs against all new ideas, solutions to inform future investment decisions
  • Accountable for annual planning process that aligns with business strategy
  • Regular liaison with wider business to ensure commercial requirements are met when developing environment propositions
  • Reports on the progress of the teams workstreams, manages risk and budgets, monitors supplier deliverables and addresses any deviations from the plan
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • Significant experience in a leadership role, ideally in retail, banking or mails markets
  • A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
  • Qualified to degree level in interior architecture, furniture, product design or similar experience
  • Extensive technical delivery/ project management experience in a similar role delivering complex environment programs
  • Financially astute with commercial knowledge of design development, able to carry out value engineering and interrogate cost plans
  • Ability to manage a project from inception to post completion, collaborating with and obtaining positive independent postmaster and strategic partners feedback
  • Recognised as a positive collaborator who shares knowledge freely and offers support to his/her peers and seniors
  • Outstanding written and verbal presentation and communication skills. Able to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong understanding of current retail, banking, mails markets and trends with an ability to use financial and market data to inform design and space planning strategies
