Job Description

Desktop & Infrastructure Support Engineer - Financial Services - London - £50-65k We have partnered with a UK Based financial service trading firm. Established over 30 years ago with 3 offices across the UK they now employ nearly 200 people and provide a range of financial trading solutions to their growing client base.The RoleA role has arisen for a Desktop and Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their small but growing IT Infrastructure team.In this role youll provide IT Desktop support and Infrastructure Support to all areas within their Group of companies.Responsibilities

  • To support users and maintain internal systems via the IT Helpdesk
  • To assist in planning maintenance and upgrade of system as and when required
  • Improve existing systems, process and efficiencies
  • Identify issues with root cause analysis
  • Managing and maintaining all aspects of Servers, Desktops, Mobile devices, Telecoms, Network, Storage and Security
  • Assist with the management of 3rd party vendors and suppliers
  • To create and maintain system documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes and service records.
Skills & Experiences Required
  • Good understanding of O365 and MS Office suites
  • Desktop Win10 and OS deployment technologies
  • Server 2012-2019 including AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, SQL, SFTP and Exchange
  • Network TCP/IP, Switching/Routing, VLANS and Firewalls.
  • Familiarity with Virtualisation technologies - Hyper-V/VMware and IaaS
  • Experience in developing and adhering to Backup Strategy and Technologies
  • Exposure to Trading floor applications would be helpful but not essential
  • Experience in with Mobile Device Management including Apple IOS support
