As a Barclays Desk Quant - Cash Equity Product, you will support the various Cash Equity desks that sit in the UK and EU. Your main role outside of generic PnL explanation will be to work with the existing Quant functions to design and implement toolsand applications to assist in the day-to-day functioning within Sales and Trading. You will ensure that data is correct and appropriate for the end user and it is also expected that you will utilise the access to build responsive and predictive alerting tochanges in client or firm behaviour. What will you be doing You will be supporting the day-to-day activities of the Cash Equity business across Sales and Trading delivering PnL / cost projection modelling You will be tasked with driving the Cash Equity Quant roadmap in conjunction with all Equity product requirements Supporting the Equities business with relevant data analysis where it pertains to items such as but not limited to regulatory adherence You will have considerable interaction with IT system owners and as well as Product Control for any PnL responsibilities. Working with the business and functions you will identify optimal solutions on both day-to-day items as well as driving strategic initiatives What were looking for: Knowledge of front to back flows for the Cash Equity and Synthetic product with an attention to detail - must be able to work thoughtfully and logically Familiarity with the financial regulatory landscape (e.g. MIFID2, Dodd-Frank, Volker, EMIR, Basel 3, CCAR etc.) Ability to work in a pressured environment with the strong ability to multitask and take the initiative where and when required Possess a high degree of numeracy and be motivated to learn and proactively seeks responsibility Skills that will help you in the role: A degree in a technical subject area Demonstrated ability to utilise multiple programming languages such as but not limited to C#, Python, SQL, HTML, CSS Experience in UI development beneficial Where will you be working5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place.
