Job IntroductionAbout the role:Responsible for managing the SCS command and control room alongside the SCS Control Room Manager (CRM). The candidate will undertake the function of managing the response to any large-scale incident that occurs within the SCS Railways Project and/or anyincident that occurs within the HS2 footprint that might impact on SCS. The role will also manage the normal monitoring of project CCTV and consult with the logistics team and the SCS security provider. The Deputy Control Room Manager will work in-betweenthe client and Security sub-contractor to provide support and assistance where required.Flexible working: We welcome you to ask about the flexibility you need. • Managing the control room and staff in the absence of CRM
• Ensuring the correct competent staffing levels are in place 24/7
• Consulting closely with the security contractor around training, development of control room staff and other disciplines.
• Maintaining integrity of C&CR at all times.
• Managing the operational use of CCTV and other systems, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR, DPA and other procedures
• Undertaking regular audits of CCTV to ensure they are fully functioning and providing the optimum picture requirements and consulting with the respective area security managers.
• Providing support to the area security managers and security contractors supervisors.
• Liaising on a regular basis with the SCS Logistics Team.
• Interfacing with CCTV engineers to provide a plan for work, installation, and maintenance program.

The Ideal CandidateEssential:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Considerable experience in a Control Room environment.
• Competent in the use of MS software, Word, Excel etc.
• Detailed knowledge of security technology - CCTV, Access Control
• Experience in reporting and emergency response procedures
• Knowledge of Command-and-Control procedures during an incident

Desirable:

• Experience in Control Room Manager on a large construction project
• SIA licence
• Police Clearance Certificate and clean driving license
• Relevant CSCS Card
• Other relevant security qualifications, training, or membership.
