The work is varied and provides a breadth of experience - duties include providing support for arange of formal and informal meetings (with some minute taking), helping to promote the transparency of political decision making with the use of livestreaming, operating a hybrid meeting system to allow physical or remote attendance at Council meetings, supportingelected Councillors in their ward and corporate roles, assisting with the running of elections and electoral registration.You will need to be a good communicator with a high level of tact and political awareness and an ability to maintain strict confidentiality.The post requires the use of a number of IT systems so proven IT ability is essential. Previous experience of working for local government is not essential as full support will be provided to train and develop the successful applicant provided they can demonstratetheir ability to operate in a high pressure work environment.
