Job Description

Job Title: Delivery DriverLocation: WalthamstowSalary: CompetitiveJob type: Part time - PermanentAston Group is a leading Building Services and Facilities Management company for commercial and residential clients. We are an established, family run, privately owned business that has been setting standards for efficiency, innovation, and quality since1964.The Role:As our Delivery Driver Part-Time, you will be responsible for delivering letters to customers within Walthamstow.Your duties will be:

  • Delivering letters to customers within a designated area (Walthamstow)
  • Ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
  • Maintaining accurate records of deliveries made
  • Maintaining a clean and organised delivery vehicle
  • Following all traffic and safety regulations
  • Communicating with the dispatch team for route optimisation
  • Reporting any delivery discrepancies or issues to the supervisor
  • Providing excellent customer service during deliveries
Working hours will be Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 08:00 am to 13:00 pm, and flexibility with working hours is essential as overtime will be required from time to time.The Candidate:To be considered for our Delivery Driver Part-Time role, you will have the following skills and experience:Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid drivers license for the correct class of vehicle
  • A reliable, taxed, MOT and ensured mode of transportation (moped or motorcycle)
  • It is a requirement that a valid full clean driving licence is maintained.
  • Must have a good driving record which will be confirmed via DVLA
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver
Skills/Knowledge:
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Must have a professional and friendly demeanour
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
