Job Description

World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for an Deal Integration Analyst - Power.You will report to the Trading, Commercial and Optimization team. The role will work closely with the Short-Term and Long-Term desks, Origination, Operations, Fundamental & Meteorological Analysis, Sales, and support functions. Over time, the successful candidate will be expected to develop a deep commercial and operational understanding of power asset portfolio and provide input in how to best optimize.Accountabilities

  • Provide on-boarding for bespoke or new deal types, which will require an understanding of all commercial and operational aspects.
  • Work within Trading and Origination to manage the deal funnel and the workload associated with integrating new opportunities into the portfolio.
  • Coordinate activities required to bring bespoke flex deals into delivery, including designing and setting up commercial and operational commitments.
  • Deliver end-to-end deal stabilization after deals move into the delivery phase, including forecasting, reconciliation, cash management, etc.
  • Liaise with external customers and vendors as part of deal onboarding and integration and ongoing management.
  • Provide commercial and operational advice on best practice into how to manage a portfolio of different renewable & nonrenewable technologies (wind, solar, CCGTs, peakers, batteries).
  • Drive increased efficiency on existing deal types, which may include acting as a key focal for new IT or business projects.
  • Ensure Trading and Optimization desks needs are properly represented and that the necessary discipline is put into place and maintained on the desk.
  • Provide oversight to the various projects bringing rigor/governance to the delivery structure.
    • The Candidate
  • Lead the delivery of new market initiatives and onboarding assets.
  • Have a hands on operational experience, preferably in gas and / or power.
  • Have an understanding of the UK power market, but other markets advantageous.
  • An innovative commercial mindset.
  • Develop business relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Understand the end to end Life of a Deal process in SEE and how new activity is embedded into this framework.
  • Steer the development of new processes both for commercial and functional teams.
    • Skills Required
  • Hands-on experience of managing flex/CCGT economics and optimization and commercial strategies in conti and/or UK, or preferably both.
  • Experience operating flexible plant including on the BM and other ancillary markets.
  • Shift trading experience an advantage.
  • Proven Project Management skills.
  • Knowledge of Trade Book and Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of Trade Operations and Documentation.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills (VB and Python).
