The Role: As a Database Engineer you will have the mathematical and statistical expertise, combined with a rare curiosity and creativity. Youll wear many hats in this role,but much of your focus will be building out our Google Cloud ETL processes and writing superb SQL. Beyond technical prowess, you will be motivated and eager to get the most out of data to help achieve company goals. You will work with data to solve businessproblems, building and maintaining the infrastructure to answer questions and improve processes. Help streamline our data workflows, working closely with the teams to develop data models, pipelines for reporting and machine learning, whilst being an advocatefor best practices. Hybrid working applies to this role, meaning you can work 50% of your time from our beautiful office in Kensington and 50% of your time from home. Duties & Responsibilities:Planning and Implementing Database strategy including, migrationof Databases into existing and/or new environments.Maintaining Numerous on premises Microsoft SQL Databases.Expanding the data/integrations to our Data Warehouse Google Big Query.Working with Business Analyst to define data marts within Google BigQuery.Creating and enhancing data marts for all business areas.Manage and implement permission profiles for accessing databases across the estate.Maintaining/Improving existing SQL stored procedures.Work with the Infrastructure Manager on migratinglegacy databases to cloud.Maintaining, updating and creating new insights for our business users.Supporting Projects with data migrations.Assist in the supporting and adoption of implementation BI visualisation tooling. Skills & Experience Required:Experienced in building or maintaining ETL processes.Microsoft SQL serverManagement experience: Upgrades Permissions Backups PerformanceDatabase Migrations, My Sql, Google Big Query, SQL Server Reporting Services experience is a must.Experience in using one or more of the following BI visualisation tools: PowerBI, DataStudio,TableauAbility to take the initiative and be proactive, anticipating problems and offering effective solutions.Flexible and able to adapt to change, whilst suggesting improvements and new ideas.Ability to build strong internal and external relationshipsand interact with people at all levels.A collaborative and diplomatic team player who is well-organised and efficient with strong planning and prioritising capabilities and can work to multiple, competing deadlines.Enthusiastic about the Mulberry brandand its innovative approach to digital.You will have a "hands on" approach to working across a wide variety of ad hoc tasks to ensure the smooth running of a busy digital environment.
