Job Description

Our investment banking client has been present in the UK for more than 150 years, theyre a long-term partner to British business. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Data Security Analyst/Consultant (DLP) for a 6 month contract based in London (50/50 on-site/remote).Purpose of the Role:The CIB Cyber Security team is responsible for Data Security, Cyber Defence (including CSIRT, Data Leakage Prevention, Cyber-Crisis Management), Identity and Access management, Cyber Science, Ethical Hacking/Threat intelligence and Application/Third partySecurity. This role will focus on Data Security/DLP, supporting across multiple projects and responding to incidents.Responsibilities of the role:As a Data Security Analyst/Consultant (DLP) you will be responsible for:

  • Follow-up on incidents to make sure that there are clear lessons learnt and changes are implemented as appropriate.
  • To evaluate the DLP framework/procedures/process based on past incident, peer/industry feedback, best practice, threat evolution and discussion, to constantly evolve and improve DLP process.
  • To assist in driving forward DLP solution in line with the enterprise wide and regional / business level IT strategy.
  • To integrate new evolution of DLP process into production and ensure that all policy/procedures are up-to-date.
  • To assist in the management of DLP release of new functionality to production.
  • To oversee the development of DLP rule set that meets the outcomes of the organisations DLP strategy, in a manner that seeks to balance best false vs true positives.
  • To present DLP topic at senior levels/Committees to ensure management are well informed and budget secured.
What we require from the candidate:
  • Expert level in several Cyber Security disciplines particularly Data Leakage Protection.
  • Project Management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects of varying size to at minimum county/regional deployment.
  • Experience in a large & complex environment, ideally experience within Investment Banking.
  • Information Security background and preferably relevant qualification i.e. CISSP, CISM etc.
  • Experience of Security Best practices.
  • Ability to assess IT Security and Project risks.
  • Experience with Symantec DLP is beneficial, but not essential.
