Job Description

(Data) QA Analyst | UK based (Remote) | £60,000 - £70,000 | Kafka, RabbitMQ, SDET, DockerThe company:Ive partnered with a software company that use advanced and proven technology within the commercial maritime industry to make savings in cost and improve efficiency in how fuel us used, reducing CO2 and sulphur dioxide. Working in an increasingly competitive industry, you are able to see tangible results as youll be testing software that gets loaded into ships and fleets.Youll be responsible for the end-to-end design and execution the testing phase related to all time series data pipelines. This is a hands on role for an expert QA Analyst with the ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex data-based testing scenarios as well as researching, gathering and organising tests around data. The business pride themselves on cross team collaboration as each individual genuinely wants to share their knowledge and expertise. You will often find different departments tapping each other on the shoulder for help and the team will review each others code before it goes into production - they believe everyone can learn from each other regardless of their experience level!Your responsibilities as a (Data) QA Analyst:

  • Define acceptance criteria
  • Prepare test data
  • Designing and develop tests, mocks and stubs
  • CI/CD pipeline building
  • Test results analysis
    • Your skills and expertise as a Data Analyst:
  • 3 years commercial experience as a QA Analyst/SDET.
  • Proven experience building complex E2E solutions from scratch.
  • Ability to analyse and troubleshoot data-based testing scenarios.
  • Non-negotiable experience with a messaging system (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Kubernetes experience.
    • The salary for the (Data) QA Analyst is up to £70,000 per annum (depending on experience) with real, attainable progression opportunities as well as autonomy from day one.
