Job Description

Data Protection Co-ordinator - New Business36 hours per weekAbout the roleThe National Archives, as a government body and a leading cultural institution, is a data led and information rich organisation, that works across a diverse group of people includingthe public, our staff, the wider archive and government sectors, and others, all of whom may need to use the personal data of others in their work.We are looking for someone with business support experience and the ability to deliver intelligence gatheringfor our Data Protection Officer and the Procurement team, providing them with an early understanding of the personal data to be processed and the envisaged data flows for all emerging business activities. You will elicit sufficient information about new projects/proposalsto enable the Data Protection Officer to deliver well-informed and timely compliance advice.We believe that archives are for everyone and everyone has a right to have their personal data dealt with fairly and lawfully. You will be working with our friendlyand enthusiastic teams; getting to the heart of what personal data processing they need to deliver projects successfully.Our Privacy notice gives a more detailed overview of personal data processing at The National Archives.This is a full time post. This is an entirely new role and you will have the opportunity and autonomy to shape it.
