Job Description

Job Purpose-We are seeking a Data Protection and Privacy Analyst to join a small, rapidly growing consulting and technology company catering to clients in a vast array of industries (Finance, Insurance, Legal, Pharma, Retail, Charities and Public Sector). This functional, as opposed to technical, role will initially have a policy and compliance focus and will centre around providing services to our clients in the area of GDPR compliance but is likely to also include the opportunity to provide ISO27001 and information security based consulting. This role would suit an existing GDPR practitioner who is looking to move into the world of advisory and consulting. You will be reporting to the Consulting Director.Salary and Package-

  • Up to £45,000 per annum (Negotiable and based on experience)
  • Annual bonus - linked to personal performance and a share of annual company profit

    • Duties of the role:To work as part of the Consulting team providing advisory services and undertaking projects in all areas of information governance including data protection, privacy, records management, document management, file analytics and data discovery.To provide privacy advisory services to clients including advice on GDPR compliance especially data mapping and vendor risk managementTo provide services to clients around the operationalising of a privacy program using the OneTrust privacy management platformTo provide (or work towards being able to provide) information security advisory services including advice on classification, records retention and dispositionTo provide (or work towards being able to provide) records management advisory services including advice on classification, records retention and disposition including an understanding of the software that provide this functionalityTo provide (or work towards being able to provide) services around file analytics and data discovery including an understanding of the software that provide this functionalityKey Skills:Essential:Excellent knowledge of the General Data Protection RegulationExperience of effectively and appropriately applying the regulation in an organizationExperience in establishing and maintaining a data map / asset register / register of processing activitiesExperience in working with individuals and teams on an ad-hoc basis and in a collaborative and effective mannerExperience of project planning and workload managementExperience of establishing and maintaining a risk management frameworkAbility to work alone where necessaryDesirable:Experience of privacy and privacy management programmes as well as associated technology platforms (especially OneTrust)Experience and understanding of broader information governance disciplinesKnowledge of ISO27001 and associated ISMSExperience of information governance including EDRMS systems to support document and records managementAbility to build a business caseQualifications and Experience:Ideally, educated to degree-level with at least three years’ experience in a data protection / privacy environmentInformation security experience would also be very welcome as would experience of the document management and records management world.show lessBenefits
