The Enterprise Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Northern Trust is looking for an experienced Agile Project Manager/Scrum Master to coordinate the development of data-focused products that deliver value to our internal stakeholders within the Enterprise DataProgram Management Office. This role is needed to support the Enterprise Data & Analytics team and Product Owners in managing communications with stakeholders, managing stakeholders expectations for deliverables, and implementing effective agile practices. The selected individual will be responsible for managing and coordinating the work of multiple teams in their assigned portfolios. Additional responsibilities of the role include:

  • Leading, planning, managing and directing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Carrying out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  • Managing daily operational activities and supervising day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)
  • Managing a portfolio of projects on behalf of the Data Project Management Office.
  • Aligning resources, overseeing the budget, creating project plans and tracking key milestones/risks/dependencies using both agile and non-agile methodologies.
  • Facilitating projection execution and driving the successful completion of quarterly deliverables
The ideal candidate will have a fair amount of the following:
  • A college or university degree or relevant experience in the field
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal, non-verbal and written
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Demonstrated experience carrying out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees.
  • Related project management certification (scrum, agile, etc.) is preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience working with Data preferred.
