Job Description

Our client is seeking to engage a Data Privacy Lawyer on a 12-month contract opportunity to support their Privacy Team with the delivery of key projects.Client DetailsOur client is one of the worlds leading music publishers with a catalogue of more than one million copyrights worldwide. With its broad and diverse roster of new stars and legendary artists, they are home to a collection of the best-known record labels in the music and media industry.For more than four decades, our client has been an industry-leading force in providing a world-class array of services designed to help artists and labels grow their careers and their businesses.DescriptionAs Data Privacy Lawyer, key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing privacy and data protection advice to the business, with a special focus on worldwide data driven initiatives.
  • Guiding on how best to ensure data protection by design and default is baked-into the design, build, test and deployment stages of all their activities.
  • Carrying out Data Protection Impact Assessments and providing solutions to mitigate privacy risks.
  • Overseeing data protection audits and reviews.
  • Recommending successful compliance strategies and leading on roll-out.
  • Assisting with international data transfer and data processing agreements with vendors and other third parties. Providing privacy input to contract negotiations where relevant.
  • Delivering privacy staff training to all entities and affiliates, with a particular focus on digital data uses.
  • Writing and updating privacy and data protection policies.
  • Updating the Privacy Team on emerging privacy and data protection laws and guidance.
    • ProfileThe successful Data Privacy Lawyer will be legally qualified and have a privacy or data protection qualification.
