As a Barclays Data Privacy Compliance Manager you will provide coverage to support the Barclays Businesses and Functions globally. You will work closely with the Head of Data Privacy Compliance and other Senior members of an experienced team. This isan excellent opportunity with huge career development opportunity. What will you be doing Overseeing Barclays compliance with Data Privacy laws and policies Ensuring that Data Privacy related incidents, breaches, and risk events are properly reported and recorded, including escalation to senior management You will be assisting in managing the teams central inbox and responding to queries Contributing to assurance, and reviews from the perspective of Data Privacy within the Businesses, such as verification checks or monitoring reviews Managing Information Commissioner assessments, i.e. complaints and queries from the regulator Ensuring Data Privacy is considered in new product approval and technology change processes. Fulfilling governance and reporting requirements internally within Compliance, as well as check/challenge Business reporting, in relation to Data Privacy key risks and risk appetite Updating training information and ensuring that there are appropriate Data Privacy training and awareness programmes What were looking for: Experience of working in a role managing and/or overseeing Data Privacy risks Excellent technical and regulatory knowledge of Data Privacy, including a clear understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation Knowledge of Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and privacy impact assessments Experience with assurance related activities Skills that will help you in the role: Professional Privacy Certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (e.g. CIPP /E) or equivalent is preferred Where will you be workingIn the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
